You Spotted Snakes

You Spotted Snakes (2018)
SA or SAB and piano

This is the third song of Bullard’s ‘Three Shakespeare Songs’ for SA or SAB and piano.  ‘You spotted snakes’, is from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Here the fairies sing a lullaby and song of protection for Titania, their queen. The piece responds to the changes of mood between the spiky depiction of snakes and other ‘evil’ creatures, and the calm and soothing lullaby sections.
