This set of six pieces, in a neo-Baroque style, was originally written for clavichord, though it is equally suitable for other keyboard instruments, and has been performed on them all.
The more expressive qualities of some movements lend themselves particularly to clavichord or piano, though suitable terraced dynamic contrasts are feasible with many harpsichords, and a two-manual organ will give a range of registration possibilities – suggested organ registrations are given for each movement.

- Air
- Interlude
- Sarabande
- Invention
- Rustic Rondo (originally ‘Round Dance’)
