Reflections (1987), for cello and piano

An expressive and colourful piece for cello and piano, which paints a picture of a river in which the trees on the bank are reflected in the ebbing and flowing water. It was originally written for an Anglia TV film entitled The Painting Room, about the River Stour in East Anglia, home to Flatford Mill and to John Constable’s landscape paintings.
First performed by Joanna Borrett (to whom the piece is dedicated) & Alan Bullard on 25 February 1988
