Hymn to Spring is a tuneful and accessible welcome to Spring, scored for SATB choir and piano. The words are by John Newton, slave-trader turned abolitionist, and later a parish priest, who also wrote ‘Amazing Grace’. It is a movement from Alan Bullard’s short cantata Welcome Spring
