Hill-side Carol

Hill-side Carol (2000)
SATB and piano or organ, with optional flute/treble recorder (Orchestra score/parts on hire)
Hill-side Carol is a setting of an adaptation of a (formerly thought to be anonymous) poem by Clive Sansom called ‘The Shepherd’s Carol’. In its five short verses it tells of the shepherds on the calm hillside, the appearance of the the bright star, and the angel voices. Finally the shepherds bring themselves, and their hopes, to God’s Son.
